This course will explore the many different responses to design following the devastation of the Second World War and how new designers emerged to create a new response to design soon dubbed "contemporary". You will explore many different aspects of Post War Design including interior design, fashion and ceramics. Each session will focus on a style or theme from the textile designs of the fifties to the Mary Quants' Swinging Sixties onwards to a different style in the seventies onwards with the arrival of Habitat and other design influencers
